I'm still teaching math at Southmoore High School. I love that school; the faculty, students, and staff are all great! This year, I've been offered a computer ed class. This will be fun because I have 2 computer degrees and I've never taught a real computer class before. I'm looking forward to the challenge. I appreciate the administrators of SHS for giving me this opportunity.
In July, I'll be making my annual trek to NC to see my family. Even though I'll only be at the beach for 3 days, I'm SO looking forward to having my toes in the sand. I also plan to spend time with my extended family and friends. It will be a wonderful trip!!! My husband will not be able to go with me this time, so I'll miss him. Other than military deployments, we haven't spent this much time away from each other.
My old Singer sewing machine kicked the proverbial bucket a few years ago. I've been putting off the purchase of a new machine. I finally found a Brother sewing machine that will enable me to get back to sewing and try new things. I'm excited about it. I'm not happy with the sticker price, but I feel that I researched it well and made a good choice. I put it on layaway yesterday and now I can't wait to finish paying for it......hopefully I'll get it before school gets going again!
Aubrey's off in Chicago with his dad's family. I know he's having a blast. He usually spends a few weeks each summer with them. It's a large family, so he's thoroughly entertained (i.e. doesn't talk to mom much...oh well). I'm looking forward to getting him back; he'll be going with me to NC.
Tonight, Clark and I will go to the Civic Center Music Hall for Lyric Theatre's "Pump Boys & Dinettes". I enjoy Lyric productions.
Well, that's the update for now. Hopefully, it won't be another year before my next post.
